Beyond the science — the chemistry and lens optices — photography is a exercise in attention. It is simply seeing something in a way that allows bringing others into the same vision. However, we do not see the world objectively, that is to say, we do not see it like a camera — in the same way that we do not hear it like a microphone. This is where the art comes in. It is in the distinction between documenting and capturing.

Below is a sampling of some photographs that I have taken over the last few years. Nearly all of it (except 'Monoslu') is captured on film with my Pentax ME Super, which I inherited from my father.
